Depaul House is a 12 bedroom residential care facility funded by the Department of Human Services, and operated by St Vincent’s Hospital, offering accommodation for people with alcohol or drug related problems, usually in terms of a 5 to 7 day stay at the unit. The building design enables its residents to undergo treatment and recovery in a non institutional, comfortable, secure, and relaxed environment. Depaul House complements an impressive streetscape of heritage listed buildings through its cubic massing, residential scale, natural materials, and minimal palette of colours and texture.
